What you are free to do
- Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format, for any purpose, including commercially.
- Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercially.
- The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as you follow the license terms.
The two conditions
- Attribution (BY). You must give appropriate credit — name CT Client, link to the original page on this site, note if changes were made, and indicate the CC BY-SA 4.0 license. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in a way that suggests CT endorses you or your use.
- ShareAlike (SA). If you remix, transform, or build upon this documentation, you must distribute your contribution under the same CC BY-SA 4.0 license as the original.

What the license covers — and what it does not
Covered: the text of every page in this website's documentation, including the beginner guide, feature and configuration references, CLI reference, API reference, mods guide, mod creation tutorial, architecture, troubleshooting, security notes, update notes, and the About page.
Not covered: the CT Client software itself, which keeps its own project license (see the repository's LICENSE.md and the distribution terms); the CT name and branding; the site icon and other explicitly identified project assets; and any third-party content such as the Discord embed. No license grants rights to Minecraft, Mojang, or Microsoft assets or trademarks — game files are obtained only through official channels under the Minecraft EULA.
How to credit this documentation
A complete credit line looks like this — copy it and fill in the page and date you used:
"Page title" by CT Client (ct.shit.pub), licensed under
CC BY-SA 4.0. Changes were made on .
For example: "How to create a CT mod" by CT Client (ct.shit.pub), licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0. Changes were made on 2026-10-02.
Machine-readable marking
This site marks its license so search engines and tools can detect it. Every page links its license metadata, and the site footer carries the same notice:
<link rel="license" href="https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/">
<meta name="license" content="CC BY-SA 4.0">
